In this workshop, that is for all levels, I will teach my way of painting which consists in using simultaneously brush and painting knife and in starting with acrylics and finishing with oil. Regarding theory I will teach the golden section and the points of interest of a work, the use of different ways of composing (triangular, diagonal, circular), the distribution of areas on a canvas, the various grounds in a painting, composing and setting up a still life, composing a landscape, the dynamics in a painting, colors, values, perspective, etc...

Jean Triolet was born on the 4th of June 1939 in Marseille. He is a graduate of the School of Arts of Marseille. His works were exhibited in over 150 personal exhibitions in main French cities and more than 50 group exhibitions. In 1993 the Vasarely Foundation in Aix-en-Provence organized a large exhibition for him, followed by two others at the Palais des Congrès in Aix-en-Provence and in the Société Générale Mansion. Those three exhibitions were the start of an international career. He exhibits in the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Russia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Chad, Cameroun, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast and Luxemburg. He is the guest of main galleries and numerous French Embassies. In 2001, he was invited by H.S.H Prince Bernhard of Baden for the inauguration of the Museum of Salem in Germany. He exhibits permanently in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palm Desert, Jeddah, Riyad. Jean Triolet prints his own lithographs in his studio on an authentic plate press. Up to now 42 works have been produced. He produced about fifty tapestries with the best craftsmen in France. He was awarded many medals and prizes like the Doctor Honoris Causa of the International Academy of Arts. He was made a Honourable Citizen of several French cities.

Life bursts out everywhere in Jean Triolet’s paintings. His lavender and poppy fields, his Mediterranean harbours and coves are indeed some of the most enchanting images of Provence. This globe-trotter of modern times goes from Marseille to Montreal, from New-York to Tokyo, from Riyadh to Douala via Paris, Geneva, Brussels, Berlin. He is the ambassador of the French contemporary painting worldwide.
